when we thought, last year’s edition of dutch design week was a full-on power blast of nine days, we had no idea what was going to come our way a year later: even more designers at even more locations, brilliant forward-thinking (most notably at the design academy eindhoven graduation show, where we liked the works of maxime benvenuto and sejoon kim in particular) and brilliant exhibitions like the spectacular one-off maarten baas makes time at the former van der meulen ansems garage or the latest fashion installation by modebelofte, who turned the roof of a department store into, well, a runway of sorts (separate post soon to come) amazed us beyond imagination. whenever we weren’t completely wide-eyed, we held steady – for these, our favourite shots of ddw 2016
