art rotterdam week is a massive beast, unleashed on the netherlands’ ever-vibrant second city every year for a few days. consisting of several flagships (including fairs art rotterdam at the historical van nelle fabriek, and object, which does, in fact, display its young designers on a ship, the legendary ss rotterdam) and several concentrated openings at places as diverse as museum boijmans van beuningen and gallery-cum-veggie-restaurant garage, it demands everything from art buffs, yet gives back easily as much. these are our favorite shots from this year’s edition…
