sitting in the city’s mt vernon district rich with history and the arts (realized in cornerstones like the monumental george peabody library or the walters art museum), hotel indigo in downtown baltimore is a piece of artfully restored history itself. originally built in 1852 as a ymca facility, the majestic building, fully refurbished and with key parts having undergone a major redesign, is now paying homage to the social clubs of yore, dark wood, heavy bookshelves and all, yet with bold, colorful dashes of modern art popping up here and there. these are our favorite shots…
