125 years after the death of vincent van gogh, it feels like about every other cultural institution in the netherlands (and several others in its neighboring countries) is preparing to share their perspective on the painter genius. one of the freshest is on display in het noordbrabants museum in s’hertogenbosch.
the curators of “design from the country of the potato eaters” (through april 26) chose contemporary design pieces according to three central themes of van gogh’s work: nature, farmland, simplicity. there are but a few text to illustrate the respective connections – which consequentally makes the exhibition even more emotional. some impressions…
